Jo's wedding in Sheffield
My husband and I have been together for 13years since I was seventeen and he was eighteen. He proposed to me at Easter time one year, and the same year at christmas he surprised me by booking our wedding venue, Whirlowbrook Hall at Sheffield - he sent me an invitation to my own wedding which was to be 6th August 2011 (I cried all day that christmas with happiness as I told all our friends and family).
It was a civil wedding our colour themes were white, silver lilac. My dress was from Essence of Australia, I enjoyed wearing such a beautiful dress. I wore a veil & the anastasia hairclip I bought from 'The Little Things In Life' website as my accessories. My 3 bridesmaids had lilac dresses by jasmine bridal.
I made my wedding stationary, table plan and I named each table after the venues each longest married couple got married at, it was a tribute to our friends and family. Our friend who is a chef made our wedding cake.
We did our own music for the ceremony & wedding breakfast and hired a singer for the evening entertainment, our first dance was to Adelle's make you feel my love.
In the evening guests were given chinese lanterns to set off in couples which made great photo's and everybody felt involved.
It was by far the best best day off my life, after the wedding we went on a 'mini' moon to Cornwall. We also plan to go away to the carribean early next year for our main honeymoon which is something just as exciting to look forward to.
The Little Things In Life would like to thank Jo for submitting a wedding feature to us and we would like to take this opportunity to wish them both happiness for the future.
