Laura and Chris

It only took one trip down to Loch Lomond to realise it was the place I wanted to get married. Myself and my now husband, Chris, sailed around the loch in a yacht for our 2 year anniversary and after seeing how tranquil and beautiful the scenery was, we couldn't think of a more perfect setting. Fast forward to 31st July 2010 and we were preparing for the big day! We had guests travelling from Ireland, Australia, Liverpool and all over Scotland so we organised a big BBQ the day before in the grounds of the cottages we were staying at so everyone could get acquainted. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed sunshine and clear blue skies which doesn't happen very often in Scotland!

The day had finally arrived for us to get married and all the preparations were underway. My wedding dress was very intricate with quite a lot of detail so I knew I wanted something to wear in my hair that was vintage in style but also something which wouldn't overpower the whole look.

My mum found the Little Things In Life website and as soon as I saw the hair comb with delicate cream roses and tiny crystals and pearls, I knew it would complement my dress beautifully. When I received the product, it was of such high quality and it actually did look like it was an authentic vintage piece. I used it as a decorative comb just in front of my veil so it was a great, more subtle alternative to a tiara.

I am going to keep the decorative hair comb so I can give it to my daughter (if I have one) on her wedding day and it can be her something old and something borrowed.
