Newmarket Fascinator for the Newmarket Races

Attending a race meeting is an exciting way to pass an afternoon, whether you bet on the horses or not. Sometimes it is fun just to put a small bet on a horse to raise the excitement stakes, but sometimes people will just view the horses in the paddock, watch the presentation to the winners and just mingle with the crowds and soak up the atmosphere.

Newmarket in Suffolk, is the headquarters of horseracing in the UK and it was made popular by King Charles II who was a frequent visitor there during his reign in the 17th century. It was also the only racecourse in the country to host race meetings during the two world wars in the last century.

Newmarket has two racecourses and during the summer, the July racecourse hosts a number of 'Newmarket Nights' where, after the racing is completed for the afternoon, a popular band or singer strikes up to entertain the crowds.

Bands which have in the past entertained the crowds include Lulu, Status Quo, Jools Holland, James Blunt and Ronan Keating, to name but a few and for 2013 you can see bands such as Kaiser Chiefs, Madness and McFly.

The Little Things In Life has in its Spring/Summer 2013 fascinator collection a very stylish and elegant fascinator named Newmarket after the racecourse. Many ladies like to dress up in style for these afternoon and evening meetings and a large number wear fascinators to complete their outfits and vie for the prize of best dressed lady. Our Newmarket hair fascinator on a headband consists of a sinamay disc and stiff crinkled crin material and comes in 3 colour combinations: black and ivory; black and bright flamingo pink and finally ivory and soft heather colour. The lady who chooses to wear this fascinating fascinator is sure to look stunning.
